Ronald Frederick Moyer

Ronald Fredrick Moyer, 86, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away at Reading Hospital on January 20, 2025. Ronald was born on June 13,1938 in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Harry Lester Moyer and Margaret (Foreman) Koneski. After losing his father at a young age, he was raised by his step-father, Walter Koneski.

Ronald was the loving husband of Marie Ann Moyer (Bialek), with whom he shared 43 years of marriage until her passing in 2009.

Ronald was a 1957 graduate of Reading High School. After graduation, he proudly served his country for nine years by enlisting in the United States Army and the Navy. He dedicated 30 years working as a supervisor to Doehler Jarvis, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

In his youth, Ronald served as a volunteer firefighter with the Mt. Penn Fire Company, and he found joy in bowling, skiing and fishing.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Tracy Wentzel (Richard), of Myrtle Beach, SC; his grandson, Branden Moyer (Sofia) of Queensland, Australia; and his great granddaughters: Dani and Milagros "Mili" Moyer. He is known to his nephews and nieces as Uncle Bunny.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Marie Moyer; his sister, Audrey Mulholland (David) Moyer Ottawa, IL; and his twin brother, Rodney Moyer (Kathleen) Reading, PA and his older brother Stuart Moyer (Annamae) of Emigsville, Pennsylvania.

A prayer service will be held in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 11AM. Burial will follow with military honors.
