Ronald F. Werner

Ronald Francis Werner, 81, of the Lutheran Home at Topton and formerly of Muhlenberg Township, died May 6th at 1:40 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since early Friday.

He was the husband of the late Ruth Hertha (Nagel) Werner, who died June 5, 1995.

Born in Muskegon, Michigan, he was a son of the late Robert and Lena (Erhorn) Werner.

He was a 1941 graduate of Concordia High School, Michigan.

Werner was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

He was employed 18 years by General Battery, Reading as a credit manager before retiring in 1986.

Werner was previously employed 27 years as a credit manager for Seal Power in Muskegon, Michigan.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Werner is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann (Werner) Gilmer of Temple and two sons, Bruce A. Werner of Cincinnati, Ohio and Paul R. Werner of Battle Creek, Michigan.

He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday evening at 7:30pm in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Avenue, Laureldale. Viewing Tuesday evening 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the church. Further services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th Street, Kiel, Wisconsin. Viewing 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Kiel City Cemetery, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, Pa 19605. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
