Ronald G. Bagenstose

Ronald G. "Fritz" Bagenstose, 68, of Frush Valley Road, Muhlenberg Township, was dead on arrival of natural causes Oct. 6 at 4:02 a.m. in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Faye N. (Weaver) Bagenstose. His first wife, Patricia A. (Weaver) Bagenstose, died Dec. 22, 1978.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Dorothy M. (Reed) Strausser and stepson of the late Edgar E. Strausser Sr.

Bagenstose was employed for 33 years as a welder by NGK Metals Inc., Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1993.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Bagenstose was a leader of Cub Scout Pack 124, Laureldale, for 10 years.

He is also survived by two sons, Steven D. Bagenstose, Millmont, and James D. Bagenstose, Laureldale; and two daughters, Sharon K. (Bagenstose) Miller, Hyde Park, and Amanda L. (Bagenstose) Readinger, Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two stepsons, Kevin L. Roth, Birdsboro, and Keith A. Roth, Temple; and two stepdaughters, Crystal (Roth) Street and Carla M. (Roth) Lint, both of Muhlenberg Township.

Also surviving are two half brothers, Edgar E. Strausser Jr., Kenhorst, and William R. Strausser, Wyomissing.

There are also 15 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
