Ronald K. Baer

Ronald Kenneth Baer, 65, of Laureldale died March 24, 2007 at 2:22 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been a patient since March 15th.

He was married May 5, 1989 to Esther Ann (Hinz) Baer.

Born September 6, 1941 in Rockland Township, he was a son of Elda Rebecca (Zuber) Baer of Blandon and the late Leroy Harvey Baer.

Ronald was an Army Veteran.

He was the owner and operator of Baer's Texaco, Alsace Township for 10 years.

Ronald was later employed 16 years as a mechanic with Giorgi Mushroom Company, Ontelaunee Township, retiring in 2006.

He was a member of Central Beneficial Association and Fire Company, Temple Fire Company and the Pike Township Sportsman's Association.

Ronald is also survived by a daughter, Holly J. (Hinz) Cross of Reading and a sister, Linda T. (Baer) wife of Henry J. Young of Fleetwood.

Other survivors include two grandchildren, Zachary R. Cross and Kayla J. Cross and a great grandson, Brennan L. Cross.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale with Rev. Grant Wickert officiating. Viewings will be held Tuesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday 9:30 am until time of services in the funeral home.
