Ronald B. Phillips

Ronald Bruce Phillips, 66, of Reading, died December 24, 2006 at 3:55 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been for one day.

He was the husband of Barbara Ann (Smith) Phillips.

Born in Reading he was the son of the late Leonard Z. and Helen L. Phillips.

He was employed as a truck driver by the former Textile Chemical Co., Ontelaunee Twp. for 27 years retiring in January of 2003.

Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Other survivors include one son, Stephen R. husband of Lisa (Fair) Phillips, Shillington and one daughter, Lori A. Phillips, Mohnton, and three step-daughters, Theresa Marie Smith, Jodi Lynn Detterline and Richelle M. Goodman all of Reading. There is also one step-son Daniel D. Goodman, Exeter Twp. One sister, Marie L. (Phillips) Reider, Blandon , 6 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Lisa Marie (Phillips) Benzel, who died October 31, 2004.

Memorial Services will be Saturday at 12 noon in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale, with the Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating.
