Roman Patynowski

Roman Patynowski, 86, died February 29, 2012 in his Spring Township residence.

He was the husband of Teresa (Kedziora) Patynowski.

Born July 13, 1925 in Warsaw, Poland, he was a son of the late Jan and Julianna Patynowski.

He was a graduate of London Polytechnic University.

Roman was an electrical engineer and employed for 30 years with Gilberts Associates, Inc., Green Hills.

Roman was a member of the Polish Home Army and took part in the conspiracy against the German occupation of Poland from 1939-1944. He fought in the Warsaw Uprising in Aug/Sep. 1944. After arriving in the US he was Secretary of the Polish American Board of Education. In addition he was President of Polonia Solidarity Organization, Reading,PA.

Roman was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

He is also survived by a son, Wojtek J. Patynowski of Menifee, CA and a daughter, Anna Wellebrouck of Blois, France.

There are also four grandchildren surviving, Thomas Wellebrouck, Simon Wellebrouck, Kinga Patynowski and Mateusz Patynowski.

He was predeceased by a brother, Stanislaw Patynowski.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Whitfield. A visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass in the Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.
