Rollin T. Reiner

Rev. Rollin T. Reiner, 85, died June 26th at 11:55pm in his Spring Township residence.

He was the husband of Elizabeth M. (Ebbert) Reiner.

Reiner was born in Muir, Schuylkill County.

He was a 1937 graduate of Porter Township High School, Schuylkill County, 1941 graduate of Albright College, Reading, Pa., and a 1944 graduate of the Evangelical School of Theology at Albright College.

Reiner also received an Honorary Doctorate in 1976 from Albright College.

He served as Pastor of West Lawn United Methodist Church for 40 years, retiring in 1982.

Reiner also served as a interim Pastor at St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Bernville.

He was a past secretary for the Board of Trustees at Albright College where he also served on the Board for over 20 years.

Reiner was a member of the Reading Rose Society a Master Gardener and a former member of Lucullus Hunting and Fishing Association, Lycoming County.

He is also survived by three daughters, Rebecca A. (Reiner) wife of Jerry Harris of Perkisie, Bucks County, Rachel M. (Reiner) wife of Gary Auman of Centerville, Ohio and Stephanie E. (Reiner) wife of Robert Mays of Sinking Spring, Berks County.

There are also six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 10:00 am in West Lawn United Methodist Church, Penn & Woodside Avenues, West Lawn, Pa 19609. Viewing will be Wednesday evening 6:30 - 9:00 pm in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. No public viewing on Thursday. Burial will be in St. Thomas United Church of Christ Cemetery, Bernville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
