Roland B. Toms

Roland B. Toms, 77, of Oley, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:10 pm in the Golden Living Center, Exeter Township.

He was predeceased by his wife Auralea E. (LaPearl) Toms in 2000.

Born in Gabelsville, he was a son of the late Leon and Florence (Bechtel) Toms

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and had attended the Church of the Good Shepherd, Boyertown.

He was employed as an Inspector with Doehler-Jarvis, Stowe for 30 years until retiring.

He is survived by his Daughter: Karen L. Weise of Oley and his Son: Bradley R. Toms and his wife Pamela of Bechtlesville. Also his Step Children: Christine Pusch of Pottstown; Cheryl Elia of Reading; Harold Skipper of Tennessee and Thomas Skipper. He is also survived by his Grandchildren: Alexandria, Mitchell and Karlee Weise and Natalie and Bradley Toms as well as many Step Grandchildren and Step Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a Brother: Gerald Toms.

Services will be held in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley, on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Friends and family may view on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am. Contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 401 Buttonwood Street, West Reading, Pa. 19611.
