Roger Joseph Stefanoski

Roger Joseph Stefanoski, 79, of 3059 Maple Avenue, Reading, Pa 19605, died June 20th at 2:55 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been since May 26th.

He was the husband of Susan J. (Baluha) Danko-Stefanoski.

Stefanoski was predeceased by his first wife, Helene (Krysa) Stefanoski, who died April 7, 1984.

Born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Harkins)Stefanoski.

He was a 1943 graduate of Plymouth High School, Luzerne County, Pa.

Stefanoski worked for a number of years as a meat cutters supervisor for the Shop-Rite Stores based in New Jersey until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Reading and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Stefanoski was a Navy Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan (Stefanoski) wife of William Peiffer of Langhorne.

Other survivors include two step-sons, Theodore Anthony Danko of Mount Penn and Dennis Michael Danko husband of Barbara A. Tiberio-Danko of Longswamp Township.

Stefanoski is also survived by two sisters, Rita (Stefanoski) Dura of Levittown and Margaret (Stefanoski) Fordham of Morrisville.

There are two grandchildren, Douglas and Melissa Peiffer of Langhorne, Bucks County, one step granddaughter Denise M. Danko-Daniels of Schwenksville, and three step-great granddaughters, Emma, Michelle and Rachel Daniels, at home.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 449 South 6th Street, Reading, Pa 19602. No public Viewing. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
