Roger C. Lamp, 81, of Reading, passed away April 13, 2009 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Dolores M. (Ohrin) Lamp. They were married on June 14, 1950.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Melvin and Bernice (Metzger) Lamp.

He was a 1945 graduate of Wilson High School and continued his education at the McCann's School of Business and the Wharton School of Business.

Roger was employed by Polymer Corporation as an accountant in 1949; Chief Accountant in 1959; Assistant Controller in 1969; Vice President in 1980; and Chief Financial Officer until his retirement in 1987.

He was a 54 year member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Penn, Advisory Board Member of St. Catharine of Siena CYO and Roger also was National Vice President of National Cost Accounting Association and President of the Berks Chapter of National Cost Accounting Association.

Roger was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roger C. Jr., husband of Paula Lamp, Exeter Township, Jeffrey W., husband of René Lamp, Lititz, Stephen L., husband of Donna Lamp, Exeter Township; two daughters, Deborah A., wife of Thomas Hoffman, Middletown, N.J. and Cynthia A., wife of Kerry Ciatto, Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include thirteen grandchildren: Stephanie, Kimberly, Ashley, Michael, Emily, Melanie, Jenna, Phillip, Daniel, Katherine, Kristina, Curtis, Nicole and two great-grandchildren, Ella and Jackson and his aunt, E. Lucile Huyett, Exeter Township.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the church. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609 or St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Edward J.
