Roger J. Labe

Roger J. Labe, 92, of West Lawn, passed away May 12, 2016, at the Reading Hospital.

His wife, Irene I. (Hoffman) died June 23, 2003.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul and Clara Labe.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Roger worked for Maier's Bakery.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.

Roger is survived by two daughters: Colene C., wife of Ronald Jacobs, Fleetwood and Deborah I., wife of Bradford Ehrgood, Reading and two sisters: Fern, widow of Clifford Sweigart, MI and Phyllis, wife of Gerald Trupp, Reading. Seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by his brother, Russell Labe.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
