Rodney P. Smith, 37, of Neversink Road, Exeter Township, died of natural causes May 31 in his residence.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Robert and Brenda (Randolph) Smith.
Smith had been employed for five years as a machine operator by Interstate Container Corp., Reading.
He was a member of Spring Valley Church of God, Muhlenberg Township, where he served as usher, deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Smith was a 1985 graduate of Exeter High School.
He is survived by four sisters, Annette D. Smith, Jacqueline S. Smith and Tina M. Smith, all of Reading, and Cynthia M. Smith, at home; and five brothers, Robert W. and Norman L., both of Reading, and Alfred R., Malcolm J. and Fred L., all at home.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Spring Valley Church. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
