Rodney W. Orth

Rodney W. Orth, 68, of Shillington, died in Reading Hospital and Medical Center on September 30, 2011.

He was the husband of Sherry T. (Bolles) Orth.

Born June 9, 1943 in Reading, he was the son of late Warren Orth and Helen (Sell) Orth with whom he resided.

He was a 1961 graduate of Wyomissing High School.

Rodney was employed as a salesman with Bollman Hat Company. He was the previous owner of Orth Music Store, West Reading.

He was a talented musician and played piano and organ for various bands.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter, Lisa A.,wife of Daniel Geist, Spring Twp., and two grandchildren Heather Geist and Jacob Geist. Also survived by his dog, Copper.

Rodney is predeceased by a daughter, Lori A. Weidenehammer.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be held an hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at the convience of the family in Aulenbach cemetery.
