Rodney Joseph Miller

Rodney J. Miller, 74, of Mohnton, passed away on October 29, 2025. Born in Reading, he was the son of Harold and Geraldine (Fleischmann) Miller.

After graduating from Holy Name High School in 1969, Rodney continued his education at Gonzaga University, where he met the love of his life, Lynn M. (Donohoe) Miller. The two shared 38 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2011.

Rodney was the proud owner of an industrial gas company, a venture that reflected his strong work ethic. Before starting his own business, he served as a Berks County probation officer for 13 years.

Rodney had an infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a compassionate soul, deeply loved by all who knew him. A true role model to his family, Rodney always put them first and cherished the relationships he built throughout his life. He especially enjoyed spending summers in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, and in his younger years, found great joy in flying with the Reading Aero Club.

He will be missed by his children, Jonathan Miller (wife, Jennifer), of Santa Barbara, CA, and Michelle Dillard (husband, Bob), of Haymarket, VA, as well as his grandchildren: Chloe Miller, Griffin Miller, Lilah Dillard, Drew Dillard, and Emmy Dillard. Rodney is also survived by his siblings, Patricia Miller (husband, Randy Rich) and Jeff Miller (wife, Diane).

Rodney was predeceased by his parents and his wife.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10AM at Sacred Heart Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, PA 19611. Inurnment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, will follow.
