Roberto Soto

Roberto Soto, 53, of Spring Township, passed away July 18, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of Anna K. (Stubenrauch) Soto.

Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, he was a son of Aurora (Lugo) Soto, Bethlehem and the late Tiburcio Soto.

Roberto was a 1978 graduate of Reading High School and graduated from the Reading Police Academy and the State Police Academy.

He was a State Police Officer for 20 years, retiring in 2008.

Roberto was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children: Madeline Soto and Robert Soto, both of Mt. Penn and Katherine A. Soto and Michael J. Soto, both at home. Also surviving are his siblings: Carmen Soto, Mariano Soto, Jesus Soto and Santos Molina, all of Bethlehem and Carlos Soto, Reading. One grandson, Nicholas Soto, also survives him.

He was predeceased by two brothers: Juan Soto and Luis Molina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St Albans Dr., Whitfield. A viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Troopers Helping Troopers Foundation, 3625 Vartan Way Harrisburg, PA 17110. Edward J.
