Robert J. Zientek

Robert J. Zientek, 76, of Lawrence Avenue, Lincoln Park, died June 19 at 7:20 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since June 6.

His wife, Jacqueline B. (Small) Zientek, died Dec. 13, 1992.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul and Bertha (Zajdowicz) Zientek.

Zientek was employed for 45 years by P.L. Small Painting Inc., Reading, which he owned from 1974 until 1991.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Zientek was an Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived by a son, Steven P., Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, and Carol J. (Franciscus) Conlon, with whom he resided since 1996.

Other survivors include a sister, Mary Ellen (Zientek) Toole, Herndon, Va.; and one granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
