Robert Yost

Robert Yost, 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia after a valiant battle. He was the loving husband of Carol Swenson Yost, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Robert and Jeannette (Odom) Yost. Robert served as a Navy Corpsman with the Marines during the Vietnam War. After receiving his Masters degree (from _________________), he worked as a counselor for numerous organizations until his retirement in ####.

Robert will be remembered as much for his strength and tenacity as for his kind and gentle spirit. He possessed a terrific sense of humor and a lifelong love of learning -- he built a motorcycle from the wheels up to enjoy his favorite hilly road, Route 125, and when the pandemic slowed everyone down, he picked up a guitar and taught himself to play. Robert also loved boating, and looked forward to his and Carol's annual trip to their place in the Thousand Islands.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol of Robesonia; brother, Jeffrey A. Yost of [town]; and many dear friends.

Carol would like to recognize the extraordinary people at Fox Chase Cancer Center who cared for Robert and supported them during his illness.
