Robert George Williams

Robert George Williams, 81, passed away May 16, 2014 in his Morgantown home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Carolyn (Ippolito) Williams, whom he married almost 22 years ago on August 1, 1992.

Born September 14, 1932, in Lebanon he was a son of the late William G. and Anna Williams.

Robert worked as a maintenance foreman for Bethlehem Steel for over 36 years, retiring in 1977. He continued working for Morgantown Properties as a maintenance supervisor,

until 2009.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Robert was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Chris A., husband of Cayce M. Williams, Fredericksburg, VA; his daughter, Danell J., wife of Duane Schoemaker, Womelsdorf; and three step-children: Sean W. Greene, Jodi L., wife of Brian Kelly, and Jill A. Greene. Also surviving are his sisters: Shirley Maser, Manheim; Arlene White, Myerstown; and Jeannie Bomgardner, Jonestown. Ten grandchildren: Emery, Ella, Wyatt, Riley, Dylan, Tara, Jared, Annie, Jason, and Leah also survive him.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
