Robert L. (Bob) Wenrich, 88, of Hamburg passed away on Thursday July 8, 2021, in the Reading Hospital. Born in West Reading on November 28, 1932, he was one of five children of the late Nathaniel K. and Mabel (Miller) Wenrich.

Bob was extremely proud that he and his three brothers all served in the military during WWII and Korea. He served in Korea during the conflict with the 27th Infantry Division and was the recipient of the Korea Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, the National Defense Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Occupation Medal (Germany) and the Korean Ambassador for Peace Medal.

Bob spent many years working in the paper manufacturing industry and as an agricultural worker on several farms.

He was a life member of the Wagner-Good VFW Post 216 where he served as a Trustee and Post Commander and was also a life member of the American Legion.

He was predeceased by three brothers: Paul, William, and Leroy, and one sister, Annie Kramer. He is survived by five children: Russell, Reading; Debbie Kutzler, in Georgia; Bonnie Karish, Reading; Carol (Joel) Dechert, Mohnton; and Robin Lynn (Ricky, Sr.) Wilson, Bentleyville; and a brother Louis; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg with burial to follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Condolences may be expressed at www.burkeydriscoll.com.
