Robert R. Wendling

Robert R. Wendling, 70, of Wyomissing passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2018, surrounded by his family and friends in the Reading Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Sharon J. (Lehman) Wendling; they were married on May 1st, 1971.

Born on October 2, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert and Mildred (Sweitzer) Wendling.

He was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for over 35 years, before retiring in 2002.

Bob was a member of the GPA car club. His prize possession was his 1967 Chevy2 Nova SS. He loved fixing and working on his cars.

Bob was an avid fly fisherman and looked forward to his trips to the cabin in Clinton county. He enjoyed socializing with friends and was always the life of the party. He treasured his excursions to the casino with his daughter. Bob loved to meet new people and would happily start a conversation with anyone. He loved spending time with his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Melinda B. Schmeer, Sinking Spring; grandaughter, Makenna Schmeer, Sinking Spring; and brother, Scott Wendling and wife, Debbie, Kenhorst.
