Robert John Walker

Robert John Walker, 44, of Wyomissing, died April 26, 2008 in Temple University Hospital.

He was the husband of 24 years of Sherry A. (Harner) Walker.

Born on July 4, 1963 in San Fernando Veterans Hospital, he was a son of the late Robert Bruce and Margaret (Lenig) Walker.

He was a graduate of Line Mountain High School in 1981 and attended Electronics Institute, Middletown.

John was a Senior Account Manager for Staples National Advantage, Englewood, NJ for the last three years, last working April 8. Previously he was a furniture salesman for Eugene and David's Co., from 1984 to 1998 and from 1998 to 2001 he was employed by Hart Software, both of Reading.

He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Reading, where he served as an Elder, sang in the choir, and taught both Sunday and Vacation Bible Schools.

John is survived by his three children, Derek R., a Junior at Wyomissing High School, Lorren D., a Sophomore at Wyomissing High School and Philip J., a 5th grade student at West Reading Elementary. There are also seven siblings, Dean Wetzel, Sunbury, Drehr Wetzel, Iron Station, NC, Drew Wetzel, Northumberland, Drene (Wetzel) Jones, Sunbury, Tamie (Wetzel) Campbell, Gratz, Derl Wetzel, Germany and Debbie (Densman) Rouser, Hitchcock, TX.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 1128 Hampden Blvd., Reading, PA 19604. Services will follow at 6 p.m. in the church.
