Robert P. Wagner

Robert P. Wagner, 92, of Haak Street, Reading died December 22, 2009 in St. Joseph's Hospital.

His wife, Helen V. (Katarzynski) Wagner, died April 10, 2005.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul and Marie (Focht) Wagner.

He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.

Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WW II.

He was last employed by the Reading School District as an electric shop teacher at Northwest Jr. High, retiring in 1981.

Robert was a longtime member of the Reading Amateur Radio Club.

He is survived by four daughters, Janet M., wife of Joseph E. Dolan, Exeter Township; Barbara J. Crater, Califon, New Jersey; Theresa H., wife of Bruce Kennedy of Bass Lake, CA and Cathy A., wife of Allan Hahn of Penn Township.

Other survivors include one brother, Richard and two sisters, Jane Brailer and Rosemary, wife of Stephen Koyste. Ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy L. Wagner on December 12, 1961 and a grandson, Christopher Crater on March 25, 2007 and four brothers, George, Jack, Paul, Donald and three sisters, Ruth Groff, Louise Good and Jean Drobeck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12 p.m. in St. Catharine of Siena Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the church. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Mt.
