Robert T. Young

Robert T. Young, 75, of Linden Lane, West Reading, died July 2 at 4:45 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where he had resided since June 3.

He was the husband of Gertrude L. (Barnett) Young.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Herbert W. and Agnes (Gahbler) Young.

Young was employed from 1944 to 1969 as an electrician by Orr & Sembower Inc., Reading, and was last employed as an electrician by Reading Hospital from 1977 until his retirement in 1990.

He was a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church.

Young was an Army veteran.

He is also survived by two daughters, Susan M. (Young) Nicholas, Sinking Spring, and Bobbi L. (Young) Moroney, Tulsa, Okla.

Other survivors include a half brother, Harold Saul, Reading; and two half sisters, Anna M. (McDonald) Hartman, Temple, and Mildred (Saul) Reinert, Oley.

There are also two grandsons.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Lincoln Park UM Church. Entombment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Reiffton. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
