Robert J. Stockler, 80, of Mifflin Boulevard, Cumru Township, died Dec. 12 at 7:36 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 23.
His wife, Grace E. (Renninger) Stockler, died March 25, 1993.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Dr. Joseph and Ella (McKeon) Stockler.
Stockler was employed for 38 years as a clerk by Conrail, retiring Nov. 1, 1987.
He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.
Stockler was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, William, Shillington, and Joseph, Spring Township; and a stepdaughter, Janet (Baer) Petricoin, Shillington.
Other survivors include a brother, Joseph, Wayne, Delaware County, and a sister, Mary (Stockler) Kubacki, West Reading.
There are also five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
