Robert K. Stine, 87 of Shartlesville died July 23 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township. He was the widower of Margaret K. (Auman) Berger Stine who died August 6, 2003. Robert was born in Hamburg and was the son of the late William S. and Mae A. (Roth) Stine. He was a 1948 graduate of Hamburg High School and was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Robert worked as a research technician for NGK Metals for 31 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of Friedens Church, Shartlesville. Robert was a life member of the following organizations, VFW Post #216, Hamburg Moose Lodge #523 and Vaux Lodge #406 F & AM and Rajah Shrine, and a 32 Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite. Robert is survived by his long time friend and companion, Arlene Brown, Shartlesville, a daughter, Kelly Ann Wagner, Blandon, a son, David W. husband of Kelly Stine, New Braunfels, Texas, step-daughter, Pamela A. wife of Steven Heckman, Bernville, step-son, Garry W. husband of Charlene Berger, Hale, Missouri, 12 grandchildren, several great grand children, a brother, Richard W. husband of Carol Stine, Hamburg and a sister, Mary E. Danenhower, Mohrsville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4 th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10: 00 to 11:00 a.m. with Masonic services at 10:15 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friedens Church, 28 Wolf Creek Rd., Bernville, PA. 19506. Online condolences may be expressed at www.burkeydriscoll.com.
