Robert Solsky

Robert Solsky, 72, Bern Township, died June 3 at 5:02 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient for two days.

His wife, Connie M. (Hartman) Solsky, died April 13.

Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Rose (Zimmerman) Solsky.

Solsky was employed for 25 years as a sales manager by IBM Corp., Reading, retiring in 1987.

He was a graduate of McCaskey High School and Franklin & Marshall College, both in Lancaster.

Solsky was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by a daughter, Kim L. Solsky, Sinking Spring; and three sons: Keith H., Tucson, Ariz.; Kurt H., Califon, N.J.; and Kerry H., Reading.

Other survivors include a sister, Natalie Solsky, Ephrata.

There also are eight grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Ave. West Lawn, PA 19609. Private burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Columbia, Lancaster County.
