Robert W. Smith, Jr.

Robert W Smith Jr., 75, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, at Tower Health in West Reading, PA. Robert, better known as Bobby or Bob, was born on July 13, 1949, to the late Robert W. Smith and Helene A. (Shaffer) Smith in Troy, NY, and was one of 6 children. Bob was a Graduate of Central Catholic High School. A Vietnam War Veteran, Bob served in the United States Air Force as a munitions specialist and was deployed to Thailand where he would install armament on fighter aircraft. Bob married the love of his life Sharon L Edwards and had two children, Jeffrey and Tiffany. Bob enjoyed listening to the Beatles, John Lennon, watching Yankees baseball and was an avid golfer. He would often spend his free time practicing his putting technique around the house or chip shots in the backyard. Bob also enjoyed swimming, taking walks, biking and visiting the beach and lighthouses with his wife Sharon. Later in life, Bob had returned to school to earn his Associates in Applied Science degree. Bob was a retired accountant and bookkeeper.

Bob is predeceased by his wife Sharon and brother David Smith. Bob is survived by his son Jeffrey, husband of Tina, Smith of East Earl, and daughter, Tiffany Klemm, of Hamburg. He's also survived by 3 grandchildren, Ethan and Brooke Klemm and Camdyn Smith, and his sisters: Barbera Odom-Smith, OH; Theresa, wife of Ron, Mijka, CO; Margaret Smith, AZ; and Kathleen Dragan, AZ.

A prayer service for Robert will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611, with commital to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
