Robert J. Smalley

Robert Joseph Smalley, 57, of Reading, died June 12, 2012 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Linda Ann (Raifsnider) Smalley, whom he married February 17, 2001.

Born October 4, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Russell William Smalley, Sr. and Ethel Mae (Burns) Smalley.

He was employed as a truck driver for a number of years with both West Motor Freight, Boyertown and LB Metals, Reading. Robert was last employed as a driver with Easton Coach, Reading, last working in November, 2008.

Robert is also survived by a daughter, Kelly Lynn (Smalley), wife of Kevin M. Saxton of Smyrna, Delaware.

Other survivors include a sister, Sharon L. (Smalley), wife of Steve J. Yasso of Exeter Township and three grandchildren: Brendan M. Saxton; Ryan M. Saxton and Emily Y. Saxton.

He was predeceased by two siblings: Russell William Smalley, Jr., and Ellen Frances (Smalley) Drupp.

Memorial Services will be held Friday at 3:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
