Robert J. Sheperak

Robert John Sheperak, Sr., 75, was pronounced dead of natural causes August 8, 2007 at 1:28 pm in his Spring Township residence.

Born October 23, 1931 in Pottstown, PA., he was a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Takacs) Sheperak.

He was a 1949 graduate of Pottstown High School.

Robert was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

He was employed a number of years with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Harrisburg, before retiring in 1982 at an auditing supervisor.

Robert was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, where he obtained the rank of 4th degree.

He is survived by five children, Robert J. husband of Corey L. (Ortenzi) Sheperak of Sinking Spring, David D. Sheperak of Mt. Holly, New Jersey, Nadine M. wife of James Shaner of Downingtown, Chester County, Judy A. wife of Mark Pennypacker of Winchester, Virginia and Mary T. wife of William Ford of Honeybrook.

Other survivors include a sister, Irene Landon of Pottstown and two brothers, Michael and Thomas, both of Swanton, Ohio.

There are also 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with the Rev. Sherry Lantz officiating.
