Robert Roland Rothermel

Robert Roland Rothermel, 70, of Wernersville, passed away October 13, 2013, in Phoebe Berks Village.

He was the widower of Karen A. (Bell) Rothermel.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Katherine Pfiefly and George Rothermel.

He was a 1961 graduate of Reading High School.

Robert continued his education graduating from Real Estate Institute of Pennsylvania in 1971, Pennsylvania Real Estate Institute in 1973, Central Atlantic School of Trust in 1992 and Pierce College cum laude in 2000.

Robert worked at Colonial Berks Real Estate as a realtor for 25 years. He also worked for American Bank and Successors as a real estate officer for 18 years.

He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

Robert was a Master Mason member of Chandler Lodge #227 F. & A.M. for over 40 years

Since 1989, he belonged to the Skyline Drive Corvette Club.

Robert was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed his four grandchildren and driving and racing his Corvette and 41 Willys hot rod.

Robert is survived by two children, Brett B., husband of Kelly (Bialek) Rothermel, Wernersville and Pamela, wife of James Anzulewicz, West Reading; his brother, Ronald, husband of Ruth Rothermel, Wazahachier, TX and four grandchildren, Joseph and Katie Anzulewicz and Ryliegh and Adyson Rothermel.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1015 Windsor St., Reading, PA 19604. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
