Robert L. Richards

Robert L. Richards, 67, passed away February 11, 2011 in his Warwick Township residence.

He was the husband of Mary L. (Vasile) Richards.

Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Norris C., Sr. and Katherine (Hartenstine) Richards.

He was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, Pottstown.

Robert was the owner of a family memorial stone business in the 1980's; afterwards he worked as a carpenter for Mainstream Contracting, Inc., Honeybrook, for 20 years, until his retirement in 2009.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Robert enjoyed woodworking and was truly skilled, having made furniture for his families homes. He also enjoyed vacationing at the beach in Delaware.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two children: Robert L., II., husband of Teri L. Richards, Morgantown and Nicole L. Henderson, Morgantown. Also surviving are his four siblings: Norris C. Richards, Jr., Elverson, Greta Richards, Elverson, Jeanette Serafini, Roulette and Gladys Richards, Elverson. He was blessed with three grandchildren: Tyler L., Keara L. and Tanner L.

A Prayer Service will be Wednesday at 12 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Caernarvon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elverson Boy Scout Troop 37, C/O Randy Woodward, Sr., 9 Tulip Dr., Honeybrook, PA 19344.
