Robert L. "Red" Ribble, 81, passed away January 24, 2017, in the Laurel Center, Hamburg.
He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Sherwood) Ribble, with whom he celebrated 10 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, Red was the son of the late Robert and Evelyn (Fisher) Ribble.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
Red was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He was owner and operator of his own barber shop. He was also employed for over 20 years as a bus driver for the Reading School District and for Yellow Cab.
Red was an avid Eagles and Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, playing bingo and traveling. Red also enjoyed taking care of his customers and talking to them, but most importantly he loved his family to the best of his ability.
He is survived by his four children, Cindy Bossler, Muhlenberg Township; Terrie, wife of Michael Wawrzyniak, Reading; Cathy Rickenbach, Muhlenberg Township; and Randy, husband of Laura Ribble, Muhlenberg Township. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Red was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine B. Ribble, and his sister, Barbara Rafthjay.
