Robert P. Restrepo, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away on July 11, 2013, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading. Born in Philadelphia on June 12, 1928, he was the son of the late Octavio Jose Restrepo and Olga Ann (Hannig) Restrepo. He was married for 64 years on August 13 to the love of his life, Patricia A. (Price) Restrepo.

He was a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in chemical engineering and St. Joseph Preparatory School in Philadelphia. He was employed by the former General Battery Corporation from 1967 to 1987 where he last served as Senior Vice President. He continued as a consultant until 1990. Before that he was employed by the former Price Battery as a Vice President from 1958 to 1967 before it was purchased by General Battery.

Surviving in addition to his dear wife are his children: Robert P., Jr. of Columbus, Ohio (married to Mary Frances), Ronald J. of Houston, Texas (married to Candace), Kathryn E. Jackman of Tabernacle, New Jersey (married to William), James P. of Wyomissing (married to Katherine), and Michael J. of Exeter Township (married to Sharon). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his son William F. Restrepo, M.D. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (husband of Wendy Restrepo) and his brother, Richard Restrepo of Philadelphia.

One month before his death he celebrated his 85th birthday with his family. There was nothing that made him more happy and proud than his beautiful wife and family. His legacy will always be them. As he said that night, "It is not what you bring to the table that counts, it is what you leave behind." "Bob" was a member of St. Ignatius Church in Sinking Spring. He was a member of the Board of St. Joseph Hospital, Grafika Printing and Battery Council International. He was a former President of the Manufacturers' Association of Berks County. He was a long time member of the Berkshire Country Club where he fulfilled his passion for golf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 19 at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Friends may pay their condolences that Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Edward J.
