Robert R. Reiter

Robert Raymond Reiter, Sr., 65, of Reading, died April 2, 2008 in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient since March 17th.

Born October 4, 1942 in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Walton George Reiter and Laura Irene (Scheuring) Reiter.

He was employed a number of years as a bartender with Youngies Fairside Inn, Muhlenberg Township and later for 12 years as a bus driver, running the "Schuylkill Avenue Run", with BARTA, Reading, last working in 2004.

Robert was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by three sons; Robert R. Reiter Jr., husband of Deana M. Kissling of Heidelberg Township; Anthony W. Reiter of Maidencreek Township and John J. husband of Pamela A. (Schadler) Reiter of Richmond Township.

Other survivors include two sisters; Ruth S. Larish of Bern Township and Snooky Henry of Muhlenberg Township.

There are also four grandchildren surviving; Erin E. Reiter, fiancée of Scott Berstler; John C. Reiter; Cait L. Reiter and Spencer L. Reiter.

He was predeceased by three siblings; Laura J. Spolski; Jack H. Reiter and Richard D. Reiter.
