Robert L. Reider

Robert L. Reider, 81, of Reading was pronounced DOA in Reading Hospital on June 30, 2010.

He was the husband of Gloria M. (Koller) Reider.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late James and Madeline (Jordon) Reider.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

Robert was owner and operator of the Square Deal Fruit Store, retiring in 2000.

He was a member of West Wyomissing Chapel.

Robert was a 32ed Degree Mason and past president of the American Business Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Kevin R., husband of Tracy E. Reider, Muhlenberg Township and his daughter, Tracey M., wife of Gary M. Fichthorn, Spring Township; three brothers, Joseph, Eugene and Henry; five sisters, Madeline Goodman, Ruth Bentz, Ida Zellner, Dorothy Reichert and Josephine Zimmerman, all of Reading and four grandchildren, Amber Reider, Amanda Reider, Trina Fichthorn and Lisa Fichthorn also survive him.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
