Robert R. Fisher

Robert R. Fisher, 88, of Kenhorst, passed away February 20, 2014 in the Mifflin Center.

He was the husband of Hildegard (Breit) Fisher, whom he married almost 67 years ago.

Born December 11, 1925 in Reading, he was the son of the late Raymond W. and Beatrice I. (Miller) Fisher.

Robert worked for the former Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Pottstown, for over 30 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of St. Stephens Polish National Catholic Church, Cumru Township.

Robert was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII.

He was also a life-time member of VFW #8795 in Adamstown.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two daughters: Dolores H., wife of Jack Coleman, Flying Hills; and Linda L., wife of David Schlegel, Fleetwood. Also surviving are his two grandchildren and his two great-grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Stephens Polish National Catholic Church, 20 St. Stephens Church Lane, Reading, PA 19607. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
