Robert E. Post

Robert E. Post, 87, of Shillington, died February 10, 2011, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

His wife, Betty J. (Sponagle) Post, died June 9, 1995.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Edward W. and Rose I. (Hommas) Post.

He was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School.

Robert was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Battle of the Bulge, during WWII.

Robert was the owner of Rieck's Printing, West Reading. He started at Rieck's in 1956 when it was located in Reading. He later bought the company in 1966 and moved it to West Reading in 1967, where he worked until his retirement in 2006.

He was past president of the Sertoma Club, Reading and past chairman of the Reading Road Races.

Robert loved to travel with his wife around the world.

Robert is survived by his son, Stephen R., husband of Joy L. Post, Sinking Spring; eight grandchildren, Chrissy, Abby, Kevin, Jennifer, Michael, Zachary, Ryan and Lauren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two children, Craig A. Post and Debra J. Benedetti and his brother, Edward A. Post.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
