Robert E. O'Hayer

Bob E. O'Hayer 87, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away January 10, 2008 in Manor Care, West Reading.

Born in New York City, he was the son of the late James L. and Lorraine (de.St. Aubin) O'Hayer .

He served in WWII as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army during 1942-1946.

Bob was first employed as V.P General Manager during 1946-1966 for Modern Globe Inc., Rhode Island, and V.P and Chief Operating Officer during 1969-1974 for Diener's Industry, Leesport.

He was a past President and Owner for Management Recruiters, West Reading for seventeen years retiring in 1993, and in 1963 former President of Pawtucket, R.I. Rotary Club, and in 1995 served on the Board of Directors of Mary Shelter, Reading.

Bob attended Notre Dame University.

He is survived by six sons Robert E. Jr., Bethel, Thomas F., Kingston, R.I., Matthew, Austin, Texas, John, Ridgefield, Washington, William W. South Bend Ind., and Daniel C. Putnam, CT.

Bob is also survived by two daughters Ann E. wife of Frank Runyeon, Newbury Park, CA, and Martha wife of David Campisano, San Francisco, CA.

A brother James F. O'Hayer, Vero Beach FL. also survive him.

Bob is survived by fifteen grandchildren.

He is pre deceased by a brother Edward J. O'Hayer and a sister Corrine Nussbaum.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am. at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church 20810 St. Albans Dr. West Lawn PA 19609. Burial will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Friends may call Monday between 9:00-10:00am. in the Church.
