Robert Bruce Nolan, 73, of Wyomissing, PA, died February 17, 2016, in Reading Hospital.
He was the much loved husband of Maureen Rice Nolan; to whom he had been married for 47 years.
Born in Attleboro, MA, he was a son of the late Robert John and Mary (Dougherty) Nolan.
He was a graduate of St. Michael's College, Winooski, VT, and then served his country as a captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY.
Bruce had been a sales manager for Westvaco and later Interstate Container.
He enjoyed playing golf, he was an avid football fan following Notre Dame and the New England Patriots. He was a former High School football official. Above all he was a stalwart fan of the Boston Red Sox through thick and thin.
In addition to Maureen, he is survived by his children, Christan Nolan Aisenbrey, and her husband Christopher, Pinellas Park, FL; Sean Nolan, and his wife Angela, West Lawn, PA; and Brian Nolan, Asheville, NC. There are three siblings, Kevin Nolan, and his wife Linda, Falmouth, MA; Edward, and his wife Kathleen, Newport, VT; and Maureen Witty, Myrtle Beach, SC. Two beloved granddaughters, Morgan Nolan and Raegan Nolan also survive him. Moreover, he was a much beloved brother-in-law and uncle to the Rice family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading, with burial to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Contributions may be made to American Heart Association (https://donatenow.heart.org/).
