Robert M. Weidenheimer, 79, Reading, formerly of West Lawn, died Aug. 30 at 7:40 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
He was the husband of Florence E. (Rathman) Weidenheimer.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Morris and Alberta (Pehlman) Weidenheimer.
Weidenheimer was employed for 33 years as an applications engineer by GAI-Tronics, Mohnton, retiring in 1983.
He was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School.
Weidenheimer was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was a past president of the Wilson School District Band-Aides.
Weidenheimer was one of the founders of Cub Scout Pack 430 of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
He is also survived by a son, Douglas M., Brentwood, Calif.
Other survivors include three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Prudence Ann Weidenheimer, in 1981.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
