Robert Reuben Larrabee, 75, of Bern Township, died May 13, 2011 in St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was the partner of Rosetta Christine (Keller) Trabosh. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara D. (Smith) Larrabee June 19, 1991.

Born May 4, 1936 in Sayer, Bradford County, he was a son of the late Reuben Robert Larrabee and Ida (_________) Hendershot.

Robert was employed as a truck driver for 47 years, retiring in 2001. He was employed with various companies, including Muhlenberg Dairy.

He was a member of Robeson Lutheran Church, Plowville.

Robert was a member of Goodwill and Shartlesville Fire Companies.

He was an avid NASCAR and Phillies fan.

Surviving are four children: Steve R., husband of Virginia (Jones) Larrabee of Christiana, Lancaster County; June Y. (Larrabee), wife of Keith F. Mohn of Alsace Township; Tami Jo (Larrabee), wife of Michael A. Schaeffer of Heidelberg Township and Gayle L. Larrabee of Laureldale Borough.

There are also seven step-children surviving: John C. Trabosh of Centerport, Joan M. Showalter of Perry Township, Bradley J. Trabosh of Lenhartsville, Caroline C. Kern of Shoemakersville, Gary A. Trabosh of Hamburg, Lori A. Fritz of Hamburg and Julie A. Himmelberger of Connellsville, Fayette County.

Other survivors include: 13 grandchildren, 20 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 21 step-great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and 2 step-great-great grandchildren.

Robert was predeceased by a son, Guy L. Larrabee April 22, 1997 and a granddaughter, Melissa S. Larrabee July of 1984.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
