Robert O. Jameson

Robert Owen Jameson, Sr., 83, of Muhlenberg Township, died January 24, 2008 in the Reading Hospital where he had been a patient since January 8th.

He was the husband of Marian Catherine (Kupp) Jameson, whom he married June 6, 1954.

Born in Philadelphia on April 24, 1924, he was a son of the late Earle Carleton Jameson and Dorothy (Buck) Jameson.

He was a graduate of Pottstown High School.

Robert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, where he served on the vestry and various committees.

He was a member of Reading-Berks Craft Guild, where he designed stained glass.

Robert was a 3rd degree mason with the Stichter Lodge, #254, F&AM, Pottstown.

He was employed 35 years as a display advertising salesman with the Reading Eagle Company before retiring in 1989.

Robert previously worked with the Pottstown Mercury and Norristown Times Herald newspapers.

He was an Army Veteran.

Robert is also survived by three children; Robert O. Jameson, Jr. of Schertz, Texas; Christine M. wife of Todd A. Wasser of Alsace Township and Sally A. wife of Kenneth S. Kruk of Elkton, Maryland.

Other survivors include four grandchildren; Zachary L. Wasser, Shelby A. Kruk, Cameron S. Kruk and Luke R. Jameson.

He was predeceased by five siblings; Edward, Keith, E. Carleton, Donald and Eunice.

Memorial Services will be Monday at 11:00 am in Trinity Lutheran Church, 527 Washington Street, Reading, with the Rev. Fred S. Opalinski officiating. Burial will be private in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Berks Classical Childrens Chorus, Inc., 201 Washington Street, Suite 529, Reading, PA 19601.
