Robert J. Bukovsky

Robert J. Bukovsky, 78, of Reading, passed away July 7, 2021, at Manor Care, Sinking Spring.

He was the loving husband of Sylvia A. (Napiecek) Bukovsky.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John G. and Anna M. (Straka) Bukovsky.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Penn State University, Berks where he earned an associate degree in electrical engineering.

Robert served our nation proudly and valiantly as a Captain in the U.S. Army serving in Germany and during the Vietnam Era.

He was employed as an executive by the County of Berks working with several local, state and federal programs.

Robert was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed books, history, astronomy, bowling and old radios. He also was an avid Reading and Philadelphia baseball and football fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Dennis Bukovsky, husband of JoAnn DeWire; one nephew, Michael J. Bukovsky and two nieces, Melissa Bilski and Erica Rappold.

He was predeceased by his sister, Judy Bilski.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Charles Evans Cemetery Chapel, 1119 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601. Edward J.
