Robert Paul Huyett, 80, of Laureldale died May 10, 2011 in St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was the husband of Jacqueline E. (Moser) Huyett whom he married June 13, 2009. His first wife, Joan E. (Succk) Huyett died September 26, 1995.

Born November 17, 1930 in Temple, he was a son of the late Harry and Harvena (Marks) Huyett.

Robert was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed as a pipe fitter with Carpenter Technology for 33 years, retiring in 1987.

Robert was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Robert was dedicated to his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Connie A. (Huyett), wife of Gregory A. Baker of Maidencreek Township; Valerie J. (Huyett) McElwee of Muhlenberg Township and William R., husband of Carol L. (Daniels) Huyett of Maidencreek Township.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Robert was predeceased by an infant son, Robert P. Huyett, Jr. and three brothers, Harry, Harold "Bill" and Richard Huyett.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
