Robert E. Hesser

Robert E. "Beetle" Hesser, 76, of 4415 4th Avenue, Temple died June 29th at 1:20 p.m. in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading where he had been a patient since June 26th.

Hesser, formerly of 583 Wilson Street, Pottstown was the husband of Carolyn L. (Long) Hesser. They were married on May 29, 1948.

Born in Birdsboro, Pa., he was a son of the late George W. and Ethel (Massey) Hesser.

Hesser was employed as a labeler for 34 years at Firestone Tire & Rubber, Pottstown, retiring May 1980.

He was a 1943 graduate of Birdsboro High School.

Hesser was a Navy Veteran of WWII

He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Temple.

Hesser is survived by a son and daughter; Brian E. husband of Theresa M. (Ketterer) Hesser of Spring Township and Karen E. (Hesser) Brenner fiancee of Daniel Pavusa of Newark, Delaware.

Hesser is also survived by two sisters; Janice L. (Hesser) wife of Richard Bulik of Langhorn, Pa., and Gail H. Hesser of Exeter Township.

Other surviviors include three granddaughters; Amanda G. Brenner of Newark Del., Ashley E. Hesser and Erin M. Hesser both of Spring Township.

Services will be held Tuesday July 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Birdsboro (St. Michael's) Cemetery, Union Township.
