Robert L. Hartman

Robert L. Hartman, 72 of Tilden Township died December 10th in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar-Crest. He was the husband of Avalona A. (Bordner) Hartman. Robert was born in Hamburg and was the son of the late Myron G. and Mamie L. (Frantz) Hartman. He worked for Hahn Motors for 31 years as an office manager. He then worked for Randall R. Rentschler as a bookkeeper for 14 years. He last worked for Cabela's in the Firearms Department for 5 years. Robert was a 1958 graduate of Hamburg High School and graduated from the McCann School of Business, Reading, PA. Bob was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Jeffrey Hartman of Tilden Township, Michael husband of Tina Hartman of Tilden Township and 2 grandchildren, Alex and Austin Hartman. Robert is also survived by 1 sister, Dorothy (Hartman) widow of Richard Bartholomew of Hamburg and 1 brother, Timothy husband of Bonnie Hartman of Bern Township. He was predeceased by 1 sister, Betty (Hartman) Mattson Seyfert and 3 brothers, George, Myron and Richard Hartman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 11:00 AM from The First United Church of Christ, 76 S.3rd Street, Hamburg, PA. 19526. Memorial contributions in Robert's name may be directed to the church at the above address. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.
