Robert Henry Frill, 97, formerly of West Reading, passed away, Sunday November 27, 2016, in Linden Village, Lebanon.
Robert was married to the love of his life, Emma M. (Yarnell) Frill, whom passed away in 2013.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George Harry and Ruth Elizabeth (Fisher) Frill. He was predeceased by his two sisters: Louise Bingaman and Jane Leipensperger.
Robert was a 1936 graduate of Reading High School and a 1940 graduate of Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the U.S. Ground Observer Corp.
Robert worked as a machinist and draftsman for Textile Machine Works and Rockwell International for 42 years, retiring in 1981.
He was one of the founding members of the Reading Society of Modern Engineers of Berks County. Model railroading was his passion.
He was a longtime member of the West Reading Planning Commission and the Community Crime Watch.
Robert is survived by two sons: Dennis, husband of Marlene Frill, Omaha, NE; and George, husband of Teresa Frill, Sinking Spring. Five grandchildren: Ellen Gow, husband Jim; Dr. Mark Frill, wife Jennifer ; Nicole Hughes, husband Eric; Shauna Davis, husband Kory; Stephanie Milch, husband Zach; and six great grandchildren: Jimmy and Mikey Gow; Jackson and Mason Frill; Elaina Davis and Griffin Milch also survive him.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Friends may call from 10:30 - 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
