Robert Franklin Dunlap, 91, of Laureldale, died January 5, 2013 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
He was the husband of the late Sarah Elizabeth (Lutz) who died September 2, 1994.
Born in Reading, PA on April 5, 1921, he was a son of the late Franklin J. and Myrtle (Lohman) Dunlap.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Robert was employed a number of years as a painter for Berkshire Knitting Mills and later in the maintenance department with Dana Parish Press Steel, Reading, retiring in 1983.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth (Franks), wife of Kenneth E. Franks, of Alsace Township and a sister, Shirley (Dunlap) Wagner of Sinking Spring.
Also surviving are two grandchildren: Robert A., husband of Tanya M. (Stoyer) Kutzler of Oley and Andrew N., husband of Tisa L. (Snyder) Franks of Fleetwood; and four great grandchildren: Kenny, Aubree, Dalaney, and Chase.
Robert was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Dunlap, and two sisters, Betty (Dunlap) Reicheneder and Gloria (Dunlap) Bleyer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231.
Services will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be in Christ Little Tulpehocken Cemetery, Jefferson Township. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
