Robert F. Rutkowski

Robert F. Rutkowski, 78, of Reading, died December 3, 2015, at St. Joseph Hospital.

He was the husband of Barbara J. (Spurlock) Rutkowski.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Mary (Stallman) Rutkowski, Sinking Spring and the late Anthony Rutkowski.

He was a graduate of Reading High School.

Robert worked for General Battery, R&R Cabinetry and ESSO Corporation.

He was a carpentry, woodworking and car enthusiast; he especially enjoyed his 1966 T-Bird and Model A cars. He loved all his dogs and especially his little buddy Bandit.

Robert will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Lorraine J. Rutkowski, Kenhorst; Kevin M. Rutkowski (deceased); Jennifer A., wife of Jeffrey A. Heinly, Muhlenberg Township, Cynthia K. Rutkowski, Fleetwood; his sister, Sylvia Salsano, widow of Lenny Salsano, Reading and three grandchildren: Heather J. Strom; Ethan M. Heinly and Ryan L. Blankenbiller. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone involved in their father's medical care.

Services will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
