Robert John Egloff, 87, died peacefully surrounded by his family in his Exeter Township residence.
He was the husband of Patricia Ann (Bisbee) Egloff, whom he was married to for 39 years.
Born in Queens, New York on November 16, 1921, he was a son of the late Charles J. and Genevieve (Kennevan) Egloff.
Robert retired from West Chemical Company in 1977.
He served in the Navy during World War Two and led a children's organization, the Queen's Nautical Cadets for 20 years. His leadership and caring ways affected the lives of so many. Guidance, support, an ear or shoulder were always available to those who needed it. Robert's passion included his family, children and his country.
Robert was a member of St. Catharines Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.
He enjoyed fishing, boats, and the ocean. He also loved sharing his time with his family and friends.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend will be missed tremendously by his wife Patricia, his daughters Kim and Robin, son-in-laws Chris Boehm and David Tufariello, grandchildren Kennedy, Robbie, Raelin and Aiden, his sister Genevieve Seibold and his nieces, nephews and many friends.
Robert is predeceased by three brothers, David, Charles, and Edward Egloff, and three sisters, Gertrude Daust, Grace McAllanah, and Isabelle Cushing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 8:45 A.M. in St. Catharines Roman Catholic Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Mt. Penn. Viewings will be held in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. on Monday. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
